Housewarming Present

I love pictures.  Pictures of my kids, especially. I love to walk along my photo wall and look at how much my babies have grown.  Shanita knows this well and generously gave me a photo session with a local photographer photographing my kids painting a canvas. Well, let me back up, Shanita actually bought the session for her family, but as the time grew closer she began having anxiety about the mess it would create.
"Paint will be everywhere and on everything! she said,  but, you (Greta) drive a minivan so it doesn't matter what your car looks like!  Plus, paint comes out of your hair a lot easier than this!" (pointing to her natural fro) Two points very well made and then she even called it a housewarming present so how could I tell her no?!
Turns out it was pretty messy and resulted in paint being everywhere and on everything.  I am still finding paint in the minivan and had to use a q-tip to dig the blue paint from Gavin's ear.  But, the pictures are fantastic and will look great in our new home.

I haven't had a chance to order the pictures yet, but my plan is to order them 'canvas' style and hang them near the finished art.  It's going to look great on the staircase.

Thank you, Loftons, for the best housewarming present!  The combination of art and pictures of my boys--could you have given us a better gift?  No way!

Time Out

Cannon would probably not agree with the statement on his shirt, because as for him, his mom did not rock as he was put in his first time out!  He is so stubborn and distraction just doesn't seem to work as well as it did with my other boys.

I strapped him into his highchair and pushed him away from the table.  I think it was then he finally understood I was serious when I said, "No!"  He was serious about showing me how mad he was!
